Dungeness 6 May

We planned another migration watch on the South coast only to find heavy sea fog prevented any sort of seawatch and any right minded bird had chosen to parlez francais for the day.

It was generally pretty quiet but for one outstanding moment, whilst wandering the plantation area, a Serin chose to fly around us which reminded me so much of my visits to Majorca. This little jewel was well off his beaten track and was a welcomed addition to our Kent list.
