A short trip to Church Woods to try and find Nightjars was on the cards tonight. Almost nothing to be seen or heard really until we got to the right area for Nightjars. A distant Song Thrush could be heard along with Blackbirds. After getting to the patch where they have been known to seen we waited for a couple of minutes and two Nightjars flew out the tree infront of us! We had a lot of sightings of these brilliant birds but not sure if it was the same pair or not. We also had the same thing with Woodcocks that were flying over. On the way back we saw some Glow Worms as well which was nice to see.
